Mountain Home's LDS community will mark the end of a year-long construction project as they open the doors of their new stake building during an open house from 2-5 p.m. Oct. 23.

Located on South Haskett Street near the city's sole theater complex, the stake will serve as the central administrative facility for the Mormon community's eight wards and two branches based in Mountain Home, Glenns Ferry and Grand View.

"We're very excited about having the additional space," said church spokesperson David Johnson in a previous interview with the Mountain Home News. "It's been on the books for so long, and it's been something we've anticipated and looked forward to seeing for a long time."
