Elmore County investigators hope to question Matthew Conrad in connection with a break-in at the home of Lyle Jones of Glenns Ferry late last month.

A Boise man identified as a person of interest in connection with home invasion in Glenns Ferry last month remains in custody in Ada County following his arrest Sept. 29.

Matthew Conrad, 28, was arrested by Boise police following a short pursuit.

Conrad was one of two people investigators here wanted to question regarding the home invasion, according to Capt. Mike Barclay from the Elmore County Sheriff's Department. He was not identified as a suspect in the case, which remains under investigation.

Before his arrest, Conrad was on parole for grand theft and two felony firearms convictions from 2005. According to Barclay, he violated the conditions of his parole by repeatedly failing to report to his parole officer, prompting a felony bench warrant for his arrest.

This week's pursuit began after Boise police identified Conrad's vehicle and tried to approach him to execute the bench warrant. He drove off in an attempt to flee the pursuing officers. During the chase, Conrad rammed one patrol car before hitting a fence at the corner of Windsor Drive and Cassia Street in Boise.

Conrad then tried to flee on foot and was eventually caught. Reports indicate that police needed to use a taser to subdue him.

Elmore County investigators hope to question Conrad in connection with the break-in at the home of Lyle Jones of Glenns Ferry late last month.
