WECRD to receive CLDC report

Thursday, September 23, 2010

The Western Elmore County Recreation District will hold a special meeting Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m. in its offices at 245 E. 6th South St. to discuss the recommendation of the Community Leadership Development Committee.

The CLDC is working under the authority of the Treasure Valley YMCA, which is under contract with the WECRD to develop a recommendation for a possible community center in the community. Options the CLDC may recommend range from a facility with a pool to simply creating a series of family-based Y programs in the area.

  • 3:30 in the afternoon... why don't they set it up so that people that have jobs may attend??? what a coincidence....

  • Of course they want to schedule it as inconvienent as possible. They don't want people actually showing up and finding out just how useless they really are. The WECRD is a worthless money pit and should be dissolved immediatly. I'm not against a community center, but the clowns in the WECRD will never make it happen.
