GED and basic skills improvement class available in Mountain Home

A GED and basic skills improvement class will soon be available for residents of Mountain Home and the surrounding area who are 16 or older and no longer enrolled in public school.

The class, sponsored by College of Western Idaho Adult Basic Education and Richard McKenna Charter High School, will be held at Richard McKenna at 675 S. Haskett St. (west entrance). Four orientations for new students will be held this year - Oct. 5, Nov. 2, and Dec. 7, with more to follow in 2011. All orientations start at 4 pm.

Those enrolling in this free class will have an opportunity to prepare for the GED exams or just improve this basic skills in reading, math or language. A free internet study program is also available for those who meet certain requirements.
