Idaho's top auto cross drivers will showcase their precision driving skills during this weekend's rally.

The Snake River Region chapter of the Sports Car Club of America will hold a two-day rally Saturday and Sunday at the Mountain Home Municipal Airport.

The event will feature two days of racing on two different courses. Both days will have a different course designed to test the limits of car and driver skill.

Some of Idaho's best auto cross drivers will showcase their precision driving skills, a spokesman for the rally said. Registration will run from 8-9 a.m. both days. Cars will start racing at 10 a.m. with the rally lasting until late afternoon. Admission to the event is free.

In addition, some drivers will give military members the opportunity to ride along during the rally.

  • We have a carnival now car races at the airport this weekend, plus a functional airstrip. That seems like a lot for a small airport to handle. Hope everyone stays safe.
