Local business owner brings volleyball dream to life

One man's dream of building a beach volleyball court in Mountain Home grew into a grassroots effort aimed at benefiting the entire community.
The new volleyball court in Richard Aquirre Park represents "one of the most significant improvements to Mountain Home parks this year... a total volunteer effort that cost the city nothing," said Floyd Beck, who spearheaded the project.
Beck's idea began several weeks ago during a meeting with Mayor Tom Rist.
"When Floyd approached us with an idea of doing this for the city, we said we throught it was a good idea," Rist said.
