Mountain Home school registration begins Aug. 6

Thursday, July 29, 2010

The start of school for the Mountain Home School District has been moved up by about two weeks from when it has started in recent years.

School will begin on Aug. 17.

The change will allow the district to conclude the first semester just before the Christmas break begins on Dec. 22. In the past, students went on break, then returned for about two weeks to complete the semester. They will return on Jan. 5 this year to begin the second semester.

  • Heard a lot about the levy, but never asked our opinion concerning the Aug 17 school start date. Summer is too short here. Why not canx spring break, weather sucks that time of year anyway, shorten xmas break, and reduce in-service days. Let the kids have summer. What's wrong with you people.

  • It has been public knowledge since January.... As a parent you need to look and research. Don't expect people to hold your hand for goodness sake.

  • You should have thought to ask FactMissy-she knows everything. Then there's also the school district's website. But that would be too easy.
