County nuke plant not a 'dead issue'

Wednesday, July 7, 2010
Originally, Alternate Energy Holding, Inc. looked at building the facility in Elmore County about 10 miles southwest of Hammett.

Elmore County remains in contention to build a nuclear power plant near the city of Hammett despite approval last week to rezone land in Payette County for this type of generating facility.

Payette County's Board of Commissioners approved a change to its comprehensive plan, allowing industrial development on land currently zoned for agricultural use.

After hearing the decision, the company backing the construction of a 1,600 megawatt nuclear power plant filed a rezone application involving 5,000 acres of land in the western county, which it plans to use to build the facility.

  • Don't forget Omammer. It's part of Obammer's plan to employ illegal Palestinian refugees. Just check Operation Flower Bed, locked in your safe, next to the medication you forgot to take. And remember, according to FactMissy, there are upwards of three correct sides to this, so you can't say I'm wrong.

  • Hey busy body-

Many years back when the flood gates of illegals was opened, this country thought that it would be a good source of "cheap" labor.

Hotel jobs that were filled with Legal Citizens are now filled with undocumented aliens who are willing to work longer hours for less pay (no OT, etc.). Many of the nations family farms are now facotry farms filled with illegals. Look at all of the people from Haiti that were dumped on the beaches of Florida---a state already in trouble for years and years.

So busy body, those are the facts. Some day you will see this light. I would suspect that day will be when you are directly impacted by all of this crap that is going on. Like maybe when they allow a gas station to be built in your backyard or next to your house. It is always nice to be able to look at a situation and say "I am glad I do not live near there." The sad part of this nuclear issue is that it will touch everyone in many ways. But not to worry, it will bring great jobs. Just like the dairy industry and Marathon Cheese.

Too bad all of this "cheap labor" eats up the welfare system i.e. our tax sysem (Medicaid, food stamps, crime, etc.). Not to worry! This is America. The land of endless money. It is all good.

  • WECRD. You keep forgetting to tie this back to the WECRD and the school district. Keep trying, you're good enough to invent, I mean expose a secret plot there.
