Firefighters suspect arson in 1 of 4 fires

City firefighters battled four separate fires, including one suspected arson, over the past several days.

Investigators continued this week to search for leads behind an early morning vehicle fire at 880 N. 8th East St.

An initial investigation supports the possibility that someone threw an incendiary device through the driver's side window of the Ford pickup truck around 2 a.m. that morning, according to city fire chief Phil Gridley.
