The Mountain Home High School Tiger tennis team dropped a home Saturday tennis match to Bishop Kelly at the Mountain Home Air Force Base tennis courts.

Both of Mountain Home's girls and boys teams lost by 6-1 scores.

Mountain Home's only win in the girls match came in the #2 doubles match as Sophia Stoltmann and Shelby DeLeon won by forfeit.

Tessa Pachner and Emma Wenger lost the #1 doubles match 0-6, 2-6.

In girls singles, Carolyn Bailey lost the #1 match 2-6, 1-6, Natalie Lasher lost the #2 match 1-6, 2-6, and Danielle Lord lost the #3 match 3-6, 0-6.

In the boys singles, Casey Pehlke picked up the only win, taking the #3 singles match by forfeit. Ross Pataro lost the #1 match 1-6, 2-6, and John Teng lost the #2 match 3-6, 1-6.

In boys doubles, Blake Pachner and Jalen Gibbons lost the #1 match 1-6, 3-6, and Justin Rogow and Tomas Garza lost the #2 match 1-6, 3-6.

In mixed doubles, Tommie Miller and Brittany Ryan lost the #1 match 1-6, 0-6, and Drew Borgholthaus and Allie Draper lost the #2 match in three sets, 2-6, 7-5, TB 8-10.

"The scores don't show the tough fight our Tiger tennis team put up against Bishop Kelly," said Coach Tamzy House. "A large number of our players are new to tennis and still working on mastering the fundamental strokes. They hung tough and made the Knights earn every point. I'm very proud of the team."

The Tigers were at Emmett Monday for a conference match, and travel to Burley on Saturday for a non-conference match.
