George James Wilder

George Wilder passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, at his home in Boise. He was born in Winchendon, Mass., on April 30, 1922. Funeral services were held at Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel, on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 2:30 p.m.

Upon graduation of high school, he and two friends joined the U.S. Navy. He spent the next 22 1/2 years learning various trades and served as an electrician on numerous navy bases upon different battleships and airplanes.

George is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Betty) whom he made very happy for nearly 28 years! They met and married in Mountain Home March 20, 1981, and they enjoyed many years of camping, fishing and taking care of their dear pets.

George and Betty moved to Boise in 1999.

Family members who loved George and will miss him include daughters, Donna Smith Weddle of Boise, Paula Tomberlin (along with son-in-law, Larry) of Mountain Home, and Colleen Rogers of Washington; nephews, Dan Wilder of Florida and Mike Wilder; a very special granddaughter, Jessica Weddle attending the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, a grandson, David Weaver; and great-grandsonšs Nick and Andrew Weaver of California.

George will be sadly missed by all of us, especially by Sweet Brandee Rose.
