Youngster injured in cycle accident

Officers with the Owyhee County Sheriff's office responded to an accident involving a male juvenile Thanksgiving Day south of Bruneau.

The youngster was driving a dirt bike on Old Silver City Road at the time of the accident. An air ambulance flew him to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Citing policy restrictions, officials with the medical center didn't disclose the extent of his injuries because he was a minor.

The accident remains under investigation by the Owyhee sheriff's office.
