JV Lady Tigers squad falters against Jerome

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers JV basketball squad started out well against Jerome, but ended up on the short end of a 34-25 contest last Tuesday in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium in Mountain Home.

Mountain Home shot out to a 10-2 lead and led 10-4 after a quarter.

Keesha Janis hit one of two free throws with 6:45 left to go in the half for the Lady Tigers. That would be Mountain Home's only points until Jasmyne Moore scored with 35 seconds left in the quarter.

Mountain Home trailed 18-13 at the half.

The Lady Tigers cut the deficit to one, 20-19, with 3:50 left in the third quarter, but fell back by five, 24-19, heading into the fourth.

Mountain Home was never able to get any rally going in the final quarter, losing 34-25.

Keesha Janis led the scoring for Mountain Home with nine points.Jasmyne Moore added eight, Courtney Christiansen had four and Kelly Robins and Hailey Belt both scored two points.
