JV Lady Tigers fall in opener

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers JV basketball team dropped its first two games of the season.

Mountain View JV 43,

Mountain Home JV 21

Mountain Home stayed with the Lady Mavericks JV for a quarter, but the home team outscored the Lady Tigers 38-18 through the last three quarters to claim a 43-21 win.

The Mountain Home ladies trailed just 5-3 after a quarter but were down 21-11 at the half. It was 32-17 Mountain View after three.

Keesha Janis led Mountain Home in scoring with 11 points. Kelsey Egusquiza added seven points, Jaclyn Lasuen had two and Jasmyne Moore scored one.

Timberline 31,

Mountain Home 29

A fourth quarter rally fell a little bit short for Mountain Home Saturday night, as they dropped a 31-29 contest to Timberline in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium in Mountain Home.

Timberline jumped out to a 10-5 first quarter lead, led 19-12 at the half and 27-20 heading into the fourth quarter.

Mountain Home outscored the Lady Wolves 9-4 in the final quarter, but fell short 31-29.

Hailey Belt and Keesha Janis both scored in double figures for Mountain Home. Belt led the way with 13 points and Janis added 12.

Jasmyne Moore and Courtney Christiansen both scored two points for the JV Lady Tigers.
