The chapter is asking the community to help assemble and send care packages as a way of saying, "thank you" and "we're proud of you" to military personnel on duty, a chapter spokesperson said.
This week, Alpha Omicron members are collecting books, games, goodies and personal hygiene items that may not be available in remote duty stations.
Collection sites are Hawley's Automotive, Hair Hut and the office of Dr. John Goodrich, DDS.
Lists of approved items will be available at all locations or go to www.esaintl.com/iccouncilhope-for-heroes... and click on "Suggestion for Care Packages."
Cash donations will also be accepted to help with the cost of packaging supplies and postage.
Military family members are invited to the First Congregational Church in Mountain Home on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. to pack the boxes.
