Benefit will aid young local woman who needs bone marrow transplant

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

A Masquerade Benefit Gala for Rica Snoey will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, from 6-11:30 p.m., at Mountain Home Auto Ranch, 2800 Anerican Legion Blvd.

The dealership is sponsoring the event. The benefit is a fundraiser with live and silent auctions, dinner, music and dancing, for Snoey, a Mountain Home teen who was born with Chronic Severe Congenital Neutropenia, and is now facing an upcoming bone marrow transplant. She is having to travel to and live for several months in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The fundraiser is designed to help with medical, pharmaceutical and care expenses for Rica, her newborn son, Tavien, and her brother, Jared, who is donating his bone marrow.

The surgery is scheduled for January.

Tickets for the gala are available at the Mountain Home Auto Ranch. Prices are $40 per person or $60 per couple.

For tickets or to contact the family go to http://www.myspace.com/milestomichigan.com, or call Amanda Snoey-Holladay at 208-794-2769, or Nicole Edgar at 208-850-6931.
