Elizabeth Frances Lawson, 96, passed peacefully in her sleep Sept., 18, 2009.

Elizabeth was born Feb. 25, 1913, in Cresco, Iowa, to Barbara (nee Zoback) and David Hutton, the third of ten children with three brothers and six sisters. Her parents moved to Milltown, Wisc., where Elizabeth attended school.

She married Ernest Albert Lawson on Aug. 3, 1932, and went to live in Luck, Wisc., where John, Charles and Barbara were born. The family moved to Auburn, Wash., where Darrel and Charlotte were born. They then moved with the Department of Defense to Herlong, Calif., where Lillian was born. The family then moved to Mountain Home, Idaho to work on Anderson Ranch Dam where their youngest, Leonard, was born.

They moved back to Auburn from 1964 to 1969 before returning to Mountain Home. They finally retired to Glenns Ferry, Idaho, in 1976. Elizabeth and her husband loved to go fishing and hunting, playing Pinochle and Yahtzee with friends. She loved to read western stories and crochet for friends and family.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, son John, daughter Barbara, three brothers, Joe, Clarence and Lawrence, and four sisters, Rose, Mildred, Elise, and Louise.

Elizabeth is survived by two sisters Loretta (Roger) Larsen of Luck, Wisc., and Dorothy Lauritsen of Balsam Lake, Wisc. She is also survived by her children, Charles (Lieselotte) of Wenatchee, Wash., Darrel of Anchorage, Alaska, Charlotte (Rollie) Conklin of Tuttle, Idaho, Lillian (Jim) Nuzum of Garden City, Kan., and Leonard (Anthea) of Boise, 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, and funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Bowman Funeral Parlor, Garden City. Burial will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday at Glen Rest Cemetery, Glenns Ferry, Idaho.
