Motorcycle accident near Pine kills one

A Boise man was killed Saturday in a motorcycle accident near Pine.

At approximately 4:40p.m., Idaho State Police, along with the Elmore County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a fatal motorcycle crash on the Pine Bridge.

Christopher Frazier, 28 from Marsing, Idaho and Joseph Paine, 27 from Boise, were riding their motorcycles together on the Pine-Featherville Road. Frazier was riding ahead of Paine. At the Pine Bridge, for unknown reasons, Paine hit Frazier's motorcycle, causing both drivers to lose control. Frazier crashed on the roadway. Paine ran off the roadway and into the river below.

Paine was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither subject was wearing a helmet, and alcohol appears to be a factor.

The crash is under investigation by Trooper R. Ivey with assistance from Trooper J Avery.
