Hacker honors kids for athletics and academics

Some of the students honored for top grades and participation in athletics at Hacker Middle School.

Hacker Middle School PE teacher Grant Bothen awarded students in the sixth and seventh grades Thursday with certificates and ribbons for earning membership in the 'Triple A Club" (All Academic Athlete).

The students needed to maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA while participating in sports.

Nine students with a 4.0 GPA received a framed certificate and Tiger Pride pin.

These students who had 4.0 GPAs are:

Katelyn McKenzie, Yuridia Ayala, Heather Adams, Tanner Sessions, Abigal Varnodo, Brandon Bodily, Hailey Dudding, Andre Lucas and Katherine Young.

The following had 3.0 GPAs:
