Pap tests can prevent cancer

Pap tests can help stop cervical cancer before it starts. If you are a woman be sure to have regular Pap tests.

You can go online to www.cancer.org. where you will find the latest cancer news concerning screening and what is available to you through the American Cancer Society. Also available through the site is an online bookstore where you can order a variety of books and brochures.

Trained information specialist are available to you 24 hours a day,7 days a week by calling 1-800-ACS-2345. You will always find a warm voice on the other end that will stay on the phone as long as you need.

Coming up is the Relay for Life on June 19 and 20. There are several dedicated volunteers in our community that are on teams to raise money for cancer research.

Be generous with your pocket change when you see a team fund raiser. Your extra change could make a difference in someone's life.
