The Mountain Home Tiger JV tennis team capped off a successful season with a good effort at the District III 4A JV Tennis Tournament last Monday in Nampa. The boys team finishing third, the girls fifth.

Both boys doubles teams did well, with Drew Borgholthaus and Chris Hall advancing to the quarter-finals of the main draw, where they faced their teammates, Allan Nilles and Justin Rogow.

Nilles and Rogow won that match to advance to the semi-finals, where they were beaten by the eventual champions. Nilles and Rogow ended up in fourth place.

The Mountain Home girls doubles team of Amanda Raines and Sophie Stoltman did well in the round robin and advanced to the quarter-finals of the main draw, before losing out.

"This year's junior varsity team had a great season, with many hard-fought matches," said Tiger JV tennis coach Amanda Leonard. "I'm proud of all the hard work and effort shown by all the athletes this season, as well as the tremendous progress made by each. Coach House and I are looking forward to next year's teams, as the Mountain Home tennis program continues to grow."
