The Senior Finale Rally at Mountain Home High School was not only a final goodbye for the senior class, but also a chance to recognize the students' achievements during the school year.

The top (and only) senior class fundraiser, Daniel Katsules, was "pied" by Principal Jeff Johnson.

During the Senior Finale Rally, the seniors gathered together at the center of the gym floor and formed a serpentine path for the juniors and sophomores to change seating sections. The class changing ceremony began with the juniors moving to the senior class portion of the gymnasium and the sophomores moving to the junior class portion of the gymnasium.

As the juniors and sophomores made their way to their new class sections, they gave hugs and tearful send-offs to the departing senior class, set to several songs including "Here's To The Night," by Eve 6, "100 Years," by Five For Fighting, and the class song, "Time After Time," by Quiet Drive.

Mountain Home Principal Jeff Johnson began the rally by recognizing the historic year for Mountain Home High School. This year 10 out of 13 programs qualified for state.

A highlight for the 2008-2009 school year was the recent victory for the MHHS girls softball team in the state championship, a first for Mountain Home High School. Johnson introduced each member of the 16-girl roster as they received praise from their fellow students.

Johnson also acknowledged the recent third- and second-place state finishes for the boys and girls track team respectively, as well as the six individual state champions:

* Billy Derome (shot put)

* Tyree Harmon (100m hurdles)

* Garret Wood (300m hurdles)

* Jasmyn Jewett (triple jump)

* Jessica Tindall, Jessica Liercke, Lauren Moore and Kristy Sigloh (4X200 relay)

* Kristy Sigloh (200m)

Prior to the class changing ceremony, the results of the Pie In The Face fundraiser were announced.

Daniel Katsules, senior class president, was the lone fundraiser and for that honor was hit with several pies from his fellow students and Principal Johnson.

The finale of the ceremony was the senior class gathering together and with their fellow students viewed a slide show depicting memorable moments from the 2008-2009 school year.
