Youth Fun Run/Walk slated

The Recreation Foundation of Elmore County and the Western Elmore County Recreation District (WECRD) are inviting families to bring their children to the Kid's Fun Run/Walk, to be held in conjunction with the Elmore Medical Center's annual Children's Health Fair on Saturday, June 13.

The 2-mile Fun Run/Walk will start at the big pavilion in Richard Aguirre Park at 10:30 a.m.

The event is open to all children and teens. If children are under eight years old, a parent or other adult must walk with them. Strollers or wagons may be used for smaller children.

Registration for the event will take place at 9:30 a.m. in front of the hospital. At 10 a.m., warm-ups will begin.

Snacks and refreshments will be furnished at the end of the event.

All children who participate will receive a ticket good for one of many prizes to be awarded after the run/walk.
