Tienhaara wins award for state's top Angus steer

Ellisa Tienhaara of Mountain Home, of the Wild Bunch 4-H Club, recently received $100 and a plaque for Idaho's top 2008 Black Angus steer.

The Idaho Angus Association sponsors two $100 cash awards and plaques to the highest placing Black Angus carcass and ultrasound in the state. To be eligible, an animal must have participated in one of Idaho's county fairs and be 51 percent black in color and have no Braham or dairy influence. Criteria for the judging is based on the Certified Angus Beef formula.
