This year's Cowboy Crazee Daze will provide entertainment in venues all over the city of Mountain Home.

During the festival, several businesses in the downtown area will offer sidewalk sales.

On Saturday, the El Rancho Parking lot will host several on-stage events and live musical and dance performances.

The Glenns Ferry Opera Theater will hold three separate performances in the El Rancho Parking lot during Saturday's festivities, starting with a children's show at 10 a.m. and concluding with "The Amazing Shrinking Machine" at 1 p.m.

Actors from the opera theater will be dressed as the western characters they will be portraying for their Summer dinner theater, "Blazing Guns at Roaring Gulch." The actors will perform vignettes from the show between acts and serve as hosts and hostesses.

The Optimist cheerleaders will perform at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m, while dancers from the Elmore County Hispanic Organization will perform at 1:30. Both events will be at the El Rancho Parking lot.

On Saturday, Crazee Daze will also feature two fashion shows at the parking lot, sponsored by Maurice's (at 10:30 a.m.) and Jennie's (at 2:30 p.m.).

Saturday's festivities will conclude with a pet parade, where owners can show off their costumed pets for prizes at 3 p.m., live music from local artist Tom Simpson at 4:30 p.m., a cowboy poetry reading at 5:30 p.m. and live karaoke at 6 p.m. All those events also will be at the El Rancho parking lot.

The Mountain Home Youth Center will hold a fundraiser at the former Thrifty Car Sales lot located at the corner of American Legion and Main St. The event will feature bounce houses for youth. Tickets for the fundraiser will cost $2 or three tickets for $5.

Registration for Guitar Hero will start at 9 a.m., with the competition beginning at noon to 5 p.m. The entry cost for Guitar Hero will be $5 and prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers.

The Mountain Home Retail Merchant Committee will host the Crazee Daze Carnival, organized by Royal West Amusements, starting Thursday, May 21, until Sunday, May 24, at Optimist Park.

All About You, located at 365 N. 3rd East St., Suite C, will host a Shampoo Bowling event, a game of bowling where shampoo bottles will serve as the bowling pins.

Also on Saturday there will be a paintball target shootout and a tug of war, located off of American Legion Boulevard between Mountain Home RV Park and Anytime Fitness.
