Tiger golf teams finish in Top 3 at conference tourney

The Mountain Home Tiger golf teams went to Falcon Crest Golf Course last Monday for a conference tourney hosted by Kuna.

The Mountain Home girls came in second, while the boys finished third.

Middleton won the girls competition, shooting a 152 team score. Mountain Home, playing without their number-one golfer Shayla Streeter, came in with a 169. Emmett shot a 175, and Kuna did not have a full team.

Kelsey Egusquiza led Mountain Home with a 37, which placed her third. Shelby Stevens shot a 42, one shot ahead of Alicen Wendall, and Melanie Bate carded a 47.

Middleton also won the boys tournament, shooting a 169, one shot better than Emmett. Mountain Home came in with a 180, and Kuna shot a 216.

Stephen Elliott finished second, his 40 just one shot out of first.

Nick Reynolds and Travis Goldsby both shot a 46. Zach Pomerantz shot a 48, and Tyler Bennett came in with a 58.

The Tiger boys and girls were at the District Tournament on May 4 at Ridgecrest.
