Mailmen plan food drive May 9

Thursday, May 7, 2009

The annual Letter Carriers Food Drive will be on Saturday, May 9.

Carriers and volunteers will be collecting non-perishable donations along their postal routes.

You can leave your donation on your porch or by your mailbox.

Carriers ask that donations be placed in a bag or box and ready for pick up before your mail delivery time.

All donations will be going to El-Ada and First Southern Baptist Church in Mountain Home.

Anyone having questions about the food drive can ask their letter carrier, post office or contact Barbara Russell at 590-2228.

  • I think this is a great idea.

  • I think this is a good idea for it is helping others during a time of need especially when donations are down and people are hungry and Jesus tells us to help others out when we are able to.
