Special art sale at library May 8-9 features local artist and low costs

The Visual Arts Committee will hold a special "5 to 95" Spring Art Sale at the Mountain Home Public Library commons area on Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9.

The sale, to be held in cooperation with the Friends of the Library, will feature all artwork under $100 (from $5 to $95). Fifteen percent of the sales will go to the Friends of the Library to help support library art projects, most of them for children.

The sale will be held during regular library hours, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The Friends of the Library will help with the sale and will provide free refreshments.

Original art, prints, photographs, cards and other art items will be available for sale.

Among the artists tentatively scheduled to appear are: Bobbi Kelly, Cynthia Henstock, Brenda Raub, Bill Trueba, Don Collins, Jerry Kencke, Marcus Mashburn, Sherry Gregory, Lea Blackwell, Casey Duerig, Charlotte Moody-Emerson and Jonna Barnett.
