Letter to the Editor

Torture was used appropriately

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Dear editor:

I could not disagree with you more regarding your editorial about torture.

The enhanced interrogation techniques that you referenced were used to gather information about future attacks. We learned about a second wave of attacks aimed at Los Angeles and dirty bomb attacks aimed at Washington, D.C., among other things. With that knowledge we stopped them from occurring.

President Bush protected us from future attacks and every American should thank him.

If you think that our officials have dragged us down to the level of Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong-Il then you know nothing of the horrors that their people have suffered and continue to suffer.

Your naivety probably helps you to sell newspapers. President Obama's naivety is going to get a lot of Americans killed. And that should scare everyone.
