"Pinnochio" will be presented on April 25 at Mountain Home High School's Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium.

The play tells the story of Geppetto, who fashioned a puppet in the image of a small boy. Even as the lonely and kind woodcarver worked far into the night, old Geppetto was not aware that the wood under the chisel had come from the trunk of an enchanted tree. But the Blue Fairy was aware, as she watched from afar and gave to that puppet the gift of life.

From there he goes on to a number of adventures as he seeks his dream of becoming a real boy.

The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Mountain Home is brought wto the community by the Mountain Home Arts Council with support from Idaho Commission on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, local citizens and a special grant from the Idaho Community Foundation.

I highly encourage all parents to give your child the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful experience. My kids, who are now grown adults both had the opportunity to perform with the Missoula Childrens Theatre, one on stage and the other working lights and both of them had the time of their lives. This is a wonderfully dedicated group of young adults who bring this to the communities and give our children the gift of the arts. I only hope my grandchildren will be able to take part when they are old enough.
