Mountain Home Tiger head track coach Rich Urquidi was pleased with the teams' efforts at its home meet.

"We keep improving each week. It's only our third meet, and it was cold, but we had a lot of good times and we had quite a few PRs, which kind of surprised me, with the weather like it was, but we have a lot of new kids that are out that keep improving each week, and we're getting a lot of thirds, fourths and fifths, and that's what helps win meets."

The Tigers will take a group of athletes to a JV meet on Thursday at Nampa High School and send the varsity to the Vallivue Invitational at Vallivue on Friday.

"There's going to be three 5A schools and three 4A schools at Vallivue, so it should be a good meet," said Coach Urquidi.

"We're looking forward to that and hopefully get some good weather and get some good times and keep working our way to district and then on to state. We're excited we're having a good season. We've won all our meets so far."
