Groundbreaking set for new elk's lodge

Friday, April 3, 2009

Brief groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Mountain Home Elk's Lodge will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. on the site of the old lodge, which burned to the ground in September of 2007.

C2 (Cristobal) Construction will begin work on the building that morning, slightly more than 18 months after the lodge was destroyed by fire.

Construction is expected to be completed no later than Dec. 1, 2009.

  • It will be nice to have the Elks Club back again; it was a nice venue for community gatherings.
