'Abduction' moves to civil court after mom, girls found

Sunday, April 5, 2009

What began as a much-publicized case of custodial kidnapping at Mountain Home AFB is now being considered a matter for the civil courts.

At 4 p.m. Thursday, March 26, Technical Sergeant Nathaniel McCombs reported his three children, all girls, ages 3, 6 and 7, were missing. According to McCombs, the girls allegedly were taken by their mother, Robin McCombs, during a visitation at the MHAFB Library. The couple is in the process of filing for a divorce.

An alert was sent out and by the weekend, McCombs and the girls had been located. The matter has been referred to civil court, not criminal court, at this time.
