Women's History banquet tickets on sale.

Historian Lisa Brady will be the keynote speaker at the March 7 Women's History Banquet.

The Women's History Banquet will be held Saturday, March 7, at the American Legion Hall, 515 E. 2nd North St. beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and are available at the Mountain Home Historical Museum, 180 S. 3rd East St. Reservations also can be made by calling the museum at 587-6847.

The Mountain Home Historical Society this year is honoring women who are, "Stewards of the Land" by working to improve and conserve the area's soil and water, who have shared their knowledge with children and who have tended the land for future generations.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Lisa Brady, will speak on the topic: "Rachel Carson Is Only the Most Famous: Women Working Toward Better Environments." See the mountainhomenews for the complete story.
