The Mountain Home JV girls had a rough week last week, closing out their regular season basketball schedule with losses to Bishop Kelly and Emmett.

Bishop Kelly 52

Lady Tigers 30

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers had a tough time getting shots to fall in for them at Bishop Kelly, losing to the Lady Knights 52-30 in girls JV conference basketball.

The lead went back and forth in the first quarter, with a basket by Keesha Janis with 1:34 left in the quarter tying the game at 8-8. The Lady Tigers would then go over six and a half minutes before scoring again, Bishop Kelly going on a 17-0 run, before Jessica Liercke's basket and free throw stopped the run, making it 25-11 Bishop Kelly.

The Lady Knights led 27-12 at the half and stretched the lead to 26 points in the third, leading 45-22 heading into the fourth quarter.

Jessica Liercke led Mountain Home in scoring with nine points, Amanda Osborn, Jennica Quintal and Lindsay Sessions each had five points, Arlene Futch scored four and Keesha Janis had two points.

Emmett 47

Mtn. Home 29

Mountain Home fell behind 9-0 before Keesha Janis scored with 2:03 left to go in the first quarter. It was 15-4, Emmett, after a quarter, and 20-11 at the half.

The Lady Tigers scored first in the third quarter to come within seven, but Emmett then went on an 11-0 run before Mountain Home would score again. It was 33-15, Emmett, after three, and ended up 47-29, Emmett.

Jennica Quintal led the Lady Tigers in scoring with nine points, Arlene Futch netted six, Amanda Osborn and Jessica Liercke both added five, and Lindsay Sessions and Keesha Janis each scored two.

The Lady Tigers took a 5-14 overall record and 2-12 in conference mark into the District III 4A Girls JV Tournament at Skyview.
