Lt. Gov. Brad Little will be the featured speaker at the 20th Annual Mountain Home Community Black History Committee Banquet, which will be held Feb. 13 at the American Legion Hall, 515 E. 2nd South St., beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The annual banquet, which serves as a platform to praise the contributions of local African-Americans to the community, is highlighted by the selection of the committee's Person of the Year, and the presentation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. and Thurgood Marshall awards for community service and service to the committee.

Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $30 per person and reservations should be made by next Monday, Feb. 9. Call Joe B. McNeal at 587-3227 for reservations. See the mountainhomenews for the complete story.
