Tiger sophomores win two games

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers sophomores girls basketball team picked up conference wins last week.

Mountain Home managed just eight points in the second half, but held off the Nampa sophomores for a 33-27 girls basketball win in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium last Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigers shot out to a 15-6 first quarter lead, and stretched it to 25-12 at halftime. It was 31-21 heading into the fourth quarter, and despite scoring just two points in the final quarter, Mountain Home held on for the 33-27 win.

Jasmyne Moore and Carolyn Bailey both scored nine points to lead the Lady Tigers, Kelsey Egusquiza added six, JaDene Palmer scored three, Jaclyn Lasuen, Kelly Robins and Keesha Janis each scored two points.

Kuna 9

Mountain Home picked up their second straight conference win Friday night, downing Kuna, 26-9, at Kuna.

The Lady Tigers led all the way, going out to a 7-2 lead after one, and a 13-6 lead at halftime. They held Kuna scoreless in the third to increase their lead to 22-6.

Jasmyn Moore and Carolyn Bailey both scored eight points to lead the Mountain Home scoring. Kelsey Egusquiza and Jaclyn Lasuen both added four points, and Kelly Robins netted two points.
