Tigers JV boys lose to Jerome 50-41

The Mountain Home Tigers JV boys basketball team lost a tough, close 50-41 contest to the Jerome JV at Jerome last Tuesday night.

Jerome shot out to a 6-0 lead and Mountain Home was forced to play catch-up all night long.

Mountain Home got within three points a couple times in the first quarter but trailed 15-8 after a quarter.

Mountain Home managed to tie the game at 17-17, with 6:11 left in the second quarter, but an 8-3 spurt by Jerome put them up 25-20 at the half.

Jerome increased its lead to 11 points in the third before Mountain Home whittled it down to 34-29 after three. Mountain Home could get no closer than four in the fourth, as Jerome came away with a 50-41 win.

Damian Soliz led Mountain Home with nine points, Jordan Warila and Anthony Castillo both added seven, Brock Morris scored six, Cody Ramos, five, David Bitrick had four, Tom Hennessey two and Tyler Wright one.

The JV Tigers dropped to 0-3 on the season with the loss.
