The Idaho Statesman announced its 33rd annual All-State Football selections Sunday and six Mountain Home Tiger football players won honors.

The awards are based on votes from the state's football coaches.

Tom Hennessey, Ethan Standlee and Jake Lewis earned First Team All-State. All three are juniors.

Tom Hennessey earned First Team All-State defensive back. The Tiger junior had four interceptions and 55 tackles.

"Tom started out the year struggling a bit with pass coverage, but got better every week," said Tiger football coach Brian Floyd. "His biggest strength is against the run."

Ethan Standlee, a transfer from Rimrock, earned First Team All-State defensive line.

"Ethan led the SIC in sacks, and was almost unstoppable in the playoffs, recording 3.5 sacks and 18 tackles in the two playoff games," said Coach Floyd.

Jake Lewis earned First Team All-State on the offensive line.

"This was Jake's second year starting, and he did not disappoint," said Coach Floyd. "He allowed one sack this year, and was a great technician in the run game."

Tallon Pauley, Billy Derome and Ricky Lee all earned Second Team All-State honors.

Tallon Pauley earned Second Team All-State at running back.

"Tallon led the SIC in rushing yards and rushing TDs," said Coach Floyd. "He finished the season with 1,160 yards rushing, with 318 of them coming in two playoff games."

Billy Derome earned Second Team All-State honors at linebacker.

"Billy had a great year and led the team in tackles with 105, despite missing two games with an injury," said Coach Floyd.

Ricky Lee earned Second Team All-State at wide receiver.

"Ricky finished the year with 32 receptions for 517 yards and eight touchdowns, including one kickoff return for a touchdown," said Coach Floyd.

The Mountain Home Tigers Football Awards banquet also was held last Thursday night.

Coach Floyd announced the All-State awards as well as the Tiger coaches' awards.

Ethan Standlee earned the Best Lineman award, Jacob Allies received the Most Improved award, Kyle Kerfoot earned the Offensive MVP award, Chris Maholick earned the Defensive MVP award and Ricky Lee the Yagues Award.

The Tiger JV awards were announced by Tiger JV head football coach Lynn Knudson.

Tyler Wright and John Casper earned the Best Lineman award. Ty McRae earned the Coaches Award. Colton Zamora received the Offensive MVP award, and Deon Brown earned the Defensive MVP award. Anthony Castillo earned the Most Improved Player award.
