Drama students bring home medals from state tournament

Members of the drama club who qualified for state are shown.

Five of the 13 Mountain Home High School drama students who competed at the Idaho State Drama Tournament came away with medals last weekend.

Earning medals were:

Spencer Smith--1st place, Solo Pantomime.

Spencer Smith--2nd place, Original Humorous.

Bridget Sinerius--2nd place, Solo Serious.

Lindsey Kellerman and Gabriel Stephens--3rd place, set design.

Lindsey Kellerman and April Kerbyson made it to the final round (top 8 in the state) with their ensemble humorous presentation. Chasity Custer also went to the final round (top 8) in her category--solo serious. Kyle Crowden went to the final round (top 8) with his original humorous piece.

State Drama 08 contestants were: Chasity Custer (Solo Serious -- "My Sister's Keeper"); Kyle Crowden (Original Humorous -- "God on a Bun"); Tyler Johnson (Solo Humorous --"Stealing Saxophones from Homeless People"); Lindsey Kellerman (Solo Humorous -- "And the Broom You Rode in on"); Gabriel Stephens (Solo Humorous -- "Finishing School"); Bridget Sinerius (Solo Serious -- "My Mother's Touch"); Spencer Smith (Solo Pantomime -- "The Mask"); Spencer Smith (Original Humorous -- "Chshshsh!"); Ashley Herman/ Erin Fahey (Ensemble Humorous -- "Extreme Fakeover"); Tyler Johnson, Alex Smith (Ensemble Humorous -- "Open to Interpretation"); Lindsey Kellerman/ April Kerbyson (Ensemble Humorous -- "The Boy Book"); Justin Rogow, Frankie Wenner (Ensemble Pantomime -- "The Explorers"); Gabriel Stephens/ Lindsey Kellerman (Set Design -- "The Magical Lamp of Aladdin").
