Lady Tiger sophomores drop three games

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers sophomore girls dropped three games last week.

Bishop Kelly 36

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers sophomores battled Bishop Kelly tough, but came up short to the Lady Knights, losing their conference opener, 36-24, last Tuesday in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium.

The score was tied, 4-4, after a quarter, but Bishop Kelly took a 16-12 lead into the locker room at halftime. Bishop Kelly led, 28-19, after three, and increased it to 36-24 for the win.

Jasmyne Moore led Mountain Home with eight points, Kelsey Egusquiza added six, JaDene Palmer and Kelly Robins both scored three, Courtney Broughton had two, and Carolyn Bailey and Jaclyn Lasuen both scored one point.

Middleton 32

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers managed just one point in the first quarter as the Middleton girls rolled to a lopsided 32-10 conference win at Middleton last Thursday night.

Jasmyne Moore's free throw was the only point scored by Mountain Home in the first half. It was 14-1, Middleton after a quarter, and 22-1, at the half.

Jasmyne Moore scored three free throws for Mountain Home's only points in the third quarter, which ended, 26-4, in Middleton's favor. Moore scored Mountain Home's first field goal with 6:29 left in the game.

Jasmyne Moore led Mountain Home in scoring with eight points, Carolyn Bailey scored two.

Jerome 34

The Lady Tigers continued their struggles scoring points, managing just 12 against Jerome in a 34-12 loss.

Kelsey Egusquiza scored four points for Mountain Home, Jasmyne Moore, Courtney Broughton, JaDene Palmer and Carolyn Bailey each scored two points.
