The Mountain Home Education Association recently asked its members to put together needs baskets for the local community.

"We felt that food needs are always covered by the schools but how about helping out families by purchasing other items for them, such as toothpaste, shampoo and other items to just help a family out, " explained MHEA President Brian English.

Each of the schools in the district put together at least one basket and others put together more than one, and then the school picked a family to receive it.

The MHEA is made up of teachers, para-educators, and other school support personnel that help educate the children of our community.
