Janice A. Bryant, 72, of Mountain Home, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at a Boise hospital, following an illness.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery.

Janice was born on Sept. 18, 1936, in Butte, Mont., to Hazel and Todd Larsen. Her father was a contractor, they moved all over the country. She later met Ray Greer. They eloped to Las Vegas and then moved to Hawaii, where they started a family. They had four children.

Ray was in the U.S. Navy, which took them to San Diego, Calif. They divorced, and then she met and married John Cook of Jerome, Idaho. One son came from that union. They divorced and she moved to Mountain Home to be near to her family.

Jan enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and watching movies. "Her grace and humor will be great missed by her family and all who knew her," her family said.

Janice is survived by: her children, Wesley T. Greer of Mountain Home and his wife, Vonda; Rae Ann Richy of West Virginia and her husband, Tim; Tamra Miller of Mountain Home and her friend, Bill Good; Kevin Greer of Boise and a special friend of Jan's, John Jewett, and Christopher Cook of Mountain Home and his wife, Clara. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
