Kindness expressed by stranger

A gift of kindness!

Recently, I was parked in front of a shop downtown when my vehicle was struck and totaled while I was inside the shop.

Shocking as that was, it was not the last of the shocks that I was to receive regarding this event.

After a couple of weeks the man that ran into my car came into my workplace to inquire as to whether his insurance had taken care of everything well. I told him that the insurance did cover what I had owing on my car, but that I had lost the down payment, but overall everything worked out fine as none of us had been injured.

He offered his apologies for the accident and I thanked him for coming by to talk to me.

The following day he again appeared at my workplace and offered me the down payment that I had lost. This act of kindness brought tears to my eyes.

Through it all I received a priceless gift -- kindness!
