MHHS staff thanks community for homecoming support

Wednesday, November 12, 2008

Dear editor:

Mountain Home High School recently wrapped up another exciting Homecoming Week. On behalf of the students and staff at Mountain Home High School, I would like to thank the community for all their support.

Our students did a great job all week and they couldn't have done it without the following help:

The Alumni Association for helping throughout the week and getting the Tiger flags placed on American Legion.

Ray DeMeyer for purchasing a billboard promoting Homecoming Week.

Pioneer Federal Credit Union for donating all the food for the tailgate party.

Mountain Home Police Department and the COPs for helping with traffic on the parade route.

Mountain Home Fire Department and the Army National Guard for leading the parade.

Performance Chevrolet for donating cars that were driven in the parade.

Desert Sage Golf Course for allowing us to use four carts for the homecoming queen candidates.

All the community and business members who came out to watch the parade and also to those who placed words of encouragement on their display boards.

Numerous staff members volunteered many hours to help with the various activities and endured many disruptions during the course of the week. Janet Waggoner, the student body advisor, spent countless hours getting things ready and making sure everything ran smoothly.

Again, thank you for the outstanding support of Mountain Home High School.
