Jim Anderson, 66, of Grand View, died Oct. 1, 2008, at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center with his family by his side.

Funeral Services were held Monday, Oct. 6, at the Knight Community Church in Grand View. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, Mountain Home.

Jim was born June 15, 1942, in Boise, the son of Kenneth and Donna Anderson of Grand View.

Jim married Jann Hale in 1962 and they were married 37 years. They had four children, Anita, Lynnette, Gayla and Nathan.

"He was a hardworking man, loving husband, father and grandfather," his family said. "He loved his children and especially loved his grandchildren and his great granddaughters. He was proud of his grandsons' accomplishments with rodeo and loved to watch them compete every chance he got.

"Jim enjoyed a good joke and was a great storyteller. He liked to hunt, fish and be outdoors. He enjoyed horses and loved his dogs."

Jim is survived by: his children, Anita Erickson and her husband, Todd, of Almo, Lynnette Mitchell and her husband, Eddie, of Scottsdale, Ariz., Gayla Prow and her husband, Van, of Bruneau, Nathan Anderson and his wife, Laura, of Melba; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; his mother, Donna Anderson of Grand View; his brother, Steve and his wife, Marlene, of Anchorage, Alaska, and his sister Donna Anderson of Portland, Ore.

His wife, Jann, his father, Kenneth, and his grandson, Tucker, preceded him in death.
