Last tennis clinic scheduled Aug. 18-22

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

The final Parks and Recreation tennis clinic for the summer, called the "Follow-up Clinic," will be held Aug. 18-22 at the Richard Aguirre Park tennis courts.

MHHS tennis coach Tamzy House will again lead the clinic for Parks and Recreation with help from MHHS Tiger tennis members.

Cost of the clinic is $50 per player.

The clinic will be divided into two sessions to accommodate two different age groups.

Kindergarten through second grade players will attend the first session from 9-10 a.m.

Third through eighth-grade players will attend the second session from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

All skill levels are invited to participate.

"The age appropriate Quickstart Tennis format will be used in the first session," said Coach House.

"In the second session, training courts will be set up based on exhibited skill, from beginners to advanced. I anticipate that more of the advanced players will be able to use the ball machine and play with and against some of the Tiger tennis members."

Players can sign up for the clinic at Parks and Recreation, either in person at the office, or on the Internet at www.pr.mountain-home.us.
