Pauline Knackert

Pauline H. Knackert, 81, of Mountain Home, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at a local hospital.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 22, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Pauline was born on May 22, 1927, in Little Rock, Ark., the daughter of Robert and Virgie Grooms.

She married John A. Knackert on June 4, 1955, in Reno, Nev.

Pauline enjoyed bingo, her family said. "She also loved to travel and socialize with friends and family. Her biggest joy was being part of the Mountain Home Senior Center and helping people."

Pauline is survived by: her husband, John Knackert of Mountain Home; her son, John, and his wife, Candy Knackert, of Caldwell; her son, David, and his wife, Nola Knackert, of Boise; her brother, Lewis Grooms of California; her sister, Loraine, and her husband, Billy Alread, of Arkansas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
