Take terrorist threats seriously

Wednesday, May 28, 2008

Dear editor:

The city of Boise is in fifth position for the vulnerability of being hit by terrorists. They actually should be in a higher position in my opinion. This would probably affect the surrounding areas of Ada, Elmore and Owyhee Counties.

All of the dams could be blown up causing not only tremendous flooding but also the loss of all electrical power. Saboteurs would blow up several large buildings in Boise simultaneously and of course they would hit Mountain Home Air Force Base, its storage facilities, and Gowen Field, which are prime targets. This is definitely a possibility we must take seriously and need to tighten our security to prevent it and be prepared in the event it should occur. We need to stop blaming each other, but place the blame where it belongs, which is on the enemy. There are many people right here in this country that would like to see America fail.

Our country needs to keep its guard up, tighten our borders, and be more aware and watchful of what is going on right here. It could happen.
