210 students set to graduate Friday from MHHS

Thursday, May 29, 2008

For the 210 graduating seniors of Mountain Home High School, Friday marks the end of their high school education.

Graduation starts at 7 p.m. Friday at Tiger Field.

"This class has been instrumental in a lot of positive aspects," principal Jeff Johnson said, listing the class's school spirt, actions at homecoming and the extra time the class spent doing "a lot of things on campus" as examples.

The class colors are red, yellow and green. The class song is "I Remember You," by Skid Row.

Johnson, valedictorians Chris Rau, Cynthia Scholte and Amber Wright, and class president Katie Price will speak at the ceremony.

Graduating seniors should arrive at the junior high gym by 6 p.m. to prepare for the event.

In the event of poor weather, graduation will be moved to the high school's gym. Seniors will receive six tickets for friends and family members if the ceremony is moved indoors.

Senior Celebration, the all-night drug- and alcohol-free graduation party for Mountain Home's newest alumni, begins at 10 p.m. at Hacker Middle School.

Students can purchase tickets for the event until Friday. Tickets are $25 and a student can purchase an additional one for a guest.
